About the author

Mary Dean Cason is a daughter of the Carolinas where she discovered Eudora Welty, Zora Neal Hurston, and Carson McCullers when she should have been reading Nancy Drew. She made her way to Chicago where a series of careers—flight attendant, occupational therapist, medical writer, and best of all, mother—gave her material aplenty for her first book, What Solomon Saw and Other Stories available on Amazon. Daughters of Eve is her first ovel.

 

As well as a master’s degree in public administration she is a graduate of the University of Chicago's Writers Studio where she won the prize for fiction. Mary Dean is also a featured writer/performer at a number of Chicago's live-lit storytelling venues including Story Sessions and This Much is True.
